Hi. My name is Al, and I have been riding bikes all my life. I grew up as a kid in the 80's riding BMX when the scene was just blowing up. I continued on two wheels with a keen interest in motorbikes too. I am riding mountain bikes since the early 90's and know the Dublin and Wicklow mountains like the back of my hand!!
I not only offer guiding around Dublin and Wicklow Mountains but will also give you the basic skills of how to navigate obstacles safely. This generates much more enjoyment and high stokeage upon completion.
Each tour is approx 2.5 - 3 hours.
Depending on levels of fitness we would cover approx 15km on a route that is tailor made for you and your group's ability.
Let me show you around the mountains and experience unreal views, beautiful countryside, rolling hills for miles and the most fun you can have on two wheels!!
No matter what your skill or fitness level, I can make sure you enjoy mountain biking.... guaranteed.

Currently I don't do bike hire for large groups. Get in touch to see if there is a spare bike you could borrow!!
Wear clothes that you would normally wear on a hike or a walk. Trainers and a small raincoat. Cold weather...wear a couple of layers. Warm weather fewer layers.
Each guided tour is usually between 2.5 and 3 hours depending on fitness.
Coaching Sessions are usually 90 minutes.
A level of fitness will be of great benefit and will make the experience a lot more enjoyable. It is not a race so we will go as fast or as slow as required in order to make it enjoyable.
I am a fully qualified Trail Cycle Leader (TCL) and a trained Mountain Bike Leader (MBLA). These are recognised qualifications by Cycling Ireland. I also have achieved a Level 4 qualification with ABMG which is affilliated / recognised by British Cycling I am also qualified in REC 3 First Aid.
This depends on a number of factors. Weather, time of year, ability, fitness.
